We Are Assigned to Tanzania, Africa
Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa; it is about double the size of California. At ten degrees south of the Equator, Tanzania is known for being the home of Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa), Lake Victoria, the Ngorogoro Crater, the Serengeti, the island of Zanzibar, and many types of wildlife commonly associated with Africa. We hope to arrive in August '08. Our home will be in the Mara Region, which is in the North part of the country and borders Lake Victoria. Tanzania is a democracy. The population is around 35 million with over 500,000 resident refugees from neighboring countries. The people practice mainly Christianity, Islam, and traditional African religions.
